About Us

Family owned…

Sweet Peas is a family owned nursery that was established in 2010 with the purpose of enabling families to go to work with peace of mind, knowing their children are receiving exceptional care, education and life experiences.

Heléna, who owns the nursery, wanted somewhere that offers families the happy, safe and carefree environment that her own children experienced at home, thus Sweet Peas was born.

We are passionate about building a sincere relationship with parents and carers based on trust, honesty and openness. We have a respectful understanding of how important this partnership is in sharing one another’s knowledge of your child to meet their individual needs.

Our nursery compromises of three Suites; Baby Suite, Toddler Suite and Explorer Suite. We share daily access to our all-weather Nature Suite.

Each of our carefully designed Suites adopts a Reggio Emilia approach; allowing the children in our care to freely explore each of our areas of provision, where our highly skilled Child Care Practitioners engage with babies and children during their play. It is through this that we are able to gain an understanding of their interests and use this to move their learning and development forwards.

We believe that the first years of life that your child experiences are fundamental to their development, health and happiness which is why we are fully committed to providing an environment that allows children to feel genuinely safe and secure; enabling each child to recognise and achieve their full potential.

Happy Parents

Lucie has thoroughly enjoyed her time at sweet peas, I have seen her grow and learn so many things while been here. I feel her speech came on really well with her being able to mix with older children in the family room too. She has learnt to be independent which I believe is a big thing going on to school. I am sure she will miss going and some of the friends she has made. Thank you so much to you and the Sweet Peas team for looking after my little girl and guiding her to be the best person she can be. I will be sad to see her leaving, making it more real that she is growing up! Thanks again.

Could you also please pass on my thanks to all the staff in the baby room especially Megan and Bell who have been so lovely to deal with during Bella’s time at sweet peas.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the excellent care and teaching Rory has received whilst attending Sweet Peas Nursery. I know he has thoroughly enjoyed his time with you, all the activities he has taken part in and all the friends he has made. The facilities at the nursery are lovely and I hope that Rory’s brother or sister will be able to attend the nursery next year.

Alfie has thoroughly enjoyed his time at Sweet Peas and his Dad and I are more than pleased with the standard of care Alfie has received whilst with you. Alfie has gained so much over the last 18 months, both socially and academically. We are due to have our second baby and we will not hesitate to bring them to you when we feel the time is right. Many thanks to you and your staff, especially Emily and Laura.

I can’t believe Luke only has 1 day left at Sweet Peas, time has gone so fast! He has really enjoyed his time there and we have been really happy with how well the boys are looked after. I’m sure Luke would love to come to the leavers party my mum is looking after him that day as his school nursery has a training day so I’m sure she will bring him along! Thanks see you soon.

I would like to thank Sweet Peas for the support you have provided to William over the past two years. He has built some strong bonds with the nursery staff and often chats about Rachel, Emily and Laura at home. I have noticed a marked improvement in his development since joining nursery which would not have happened if he had been looked after by family members alone. I am excited about the next chapter in his life but will be sad to say goodbye to lovely people at Sweet Peas. I have recommended the nursery to all our friends as a lovely environment for children.
