Meeting our children where they are at with an eye to the next stage.
Our purpose-built Toddler Suite provides an exciting and spacious environment for your child, from the age of 18 months to 3 years old. We recognise that as your child begins to project their individual personality, it is our role to support them to blossom. Through following your child’s interests, we work with you as parents to nurture their distinctive character, developing their learning through fun.
Using play as a driving force for learning
We encourage learning through play whether it’s using problem-solving skills to complete jigsaws and build structures, exploring colours and textures whilst painting and creating, experimenting with sand and water play or developing imagination and role play by dressing up and retelling our favourite stories. Every day we have a variety of opportunities to read and sing together and our time together in our Key Person groups allows group discussion and helps to build concentration and gives time to explore ideas of important matters such as what makes a good friend. We understand that speaking and listening is a key development milestone at this age, which is why this room has been designed to provide a haven of communication.
Since my daughter started here she has come on leaps and bounds. Her Social Skills have got so much better. As an only child she did seem to have an issue with sharing and getting along other children but since the staff here have been working with her she is absolutely great now and she has established lots of little friendships.
