About The Nursery
Leadership Team

Heléna Strachan
Sweet Peas was founded from Heléna’s desire to create a nursery that feels as warm, safe and happy as the home she wanted for her own children. As a parent and owner, she understands how important it is for families to feel confident in the care their child receives each day.
Heléna remains closely involved in nursery life, ensuring every decision keeps children’s wellbeing at its heart. She believes strong, open partnerships with parents are essential, built on trust, honesty and mutual respect.
Under her leadership, Sweet Peas continues to offer a nurturing environment where children feel secure, valued and free to enjoy their early years with confidence.

Chloie Babington
Chloie has been with Sweet Peas Nursery since March 2017 and has many years’ experience working in a child care environment. Chloie has a Foundation Degree in Early Years and is somewhat of a perfectionist in how the children are cared for.

Shannen Rose
My name is Shannen, and I am the Deputy Manager at Garforth. I began my journey in the Baby Suite, where I learned so much about the early stages of a child’s development. I hold a Level 5 Foundation Degree in Early Years, which followed completing a sports coaching award. This combination guided me into my current role, working with Early Years children.
I love passing on my knowledge and experience to guide the team and help them achieve high standards in their roles. Cornflour is practically my middle name—you’ll often find me under a cloud of it, surrounded by happy, laughing faces. Building strong parent partnerships is vital at this age, helping the children’s personalities to truly blossom.
My busy life outside of work includes three children, two dogs, and a high-maintenance husband. We love being outdoors, especially going for woodland walks. When I get some quiet time, you’ll usually find me immersed in a good book.

Tiff Oldfield
Tiffany has been at Sweet Peas since July 2015, she joined the team fresh out of university where she studied a BA in Working with Young People, Children and Families.
Working predominantly in our Baby Suite with a large team of Early Years Educators, Tiffany has developed her passion for leading team members to thrive for excellence in all they do.

Sam Davison
Sam joined Sweet Peas in September 2022. She is a qualified early years teacher and SENCO. Sam has worked for over 15 years across age groups in special need settings and mainstream schools. Her degree was early years based and she has a passion to enable all children to thrive in their early learning journeys.
