Parents as Partners
From birth it is usually you as parents who first give your children the confidence and motivation to explore the world around them and who continue to keep them learning and stretching the boundaries of our understanding. At Sweet Peas we strive to develop and maintain strong parent partnerships with our families, this is so we can work together to bridge the gap between home and nursery. Nobody knows your child as well as you do, building a platform where our Key People can share this knowledge allows us to help your child thrive.

Daily information sharing
By using an App called Famly, which is free for you to download to your tablet, laptop or mobile phone, you can see what your child has been doing throughout the day. For example, bottle feeds, meals, sleep events, nappy changes and the Suite activities that have been provided will be personalised and uploaded to give you accurate information. You can then view this at a time that is convenient to you, before or after you arrive at nursery.
This allows our team to focus their feedback at the end of a nursery session on sharing more specific intentions and progress related to your child’s specific next steps, enabling a co-operative approach to your child’s development.

Working Together with Families
Working in partnership with parents is central to our curriculum; sharing your child’s achievements or events that have happened in your family life will enable your child’s Key Person to better know your child and personalise their learning. Parents are encouraged to add observation to the Famly app for the team to gain an overall picture of your child’s understanding of the world around them and further strengthen their home from home experience with us.

Since my daughter started here she has come on leaps and bounds. Her Social Skills have got so much better. As an only child she did seem to have an issue with sharing and getting along other children but since the staff here have been working with her she is absolutely great now and she has established lots of little friendships.
