Nutrition at Sweet Peas
We are passionate about offering exciting, freshly home-cooked meals that meet your children’s daily nutritional and dietary needs while introducing them to a wide range of flavours and textures. With the new EYFS food and drink guidelines, we continue to ensure our menus support healthy development, promote balanced choices and encourage positive lifelong eating habits. We understand how important nutritious food is for growing bodies and minds, and we take great pride in creating meals that children genuinely enjoy.
Breakfast is freshly prepared and served from the kitchenette area within each Suite. For our older children, a gentle self-serve approach helps them build independence, confidence and an understanding of healthy choices. Each day offers a varied selection designed to energise children and help them begin their morning with a calm and nourishing routine.

Refreshed meal pattern aligned with the new EYFS guidance
Our Catering and Hospitality Manager, Jo, has introduced a refreshed meal pattern aligned with the new EYFS guidance. At lunchtime, children continue to enjoy our high-quality, nutritious two-course meal, which includes a balanced main dish and either a starter or a dessert.
We are delighted to now offer two courses at tea time as well. This enhancement allows us to further increase vegetable portions, strengthen the nutritional balance across the day and continue to reduce overall sugar intake. The addition of a second course at tea also gives children more opportunities to explore a variety of tastes and textures in a relaxed, homely environment.
